All about Me Now for the boring details.....I worked in insurance, restaurants, owned my own bar, co-owned a Vintage Clothing Shop, worked in retail at the Things Remembered Stores for 16 years.........all this (& more!) leading me up to where I am today. I LOVE to create for people and I LOVE vintage fabrics and collectibles....so....naturally that led me to open my own website to offer what I do the best to you.
I go to auctions and scour the stores for sales on fabrics and supplies in order to keep my prices down. There is also rarely more than 1 or 2 of any one piece that I make. If I use an old embroidered runner for an embroidered bag, there might be 2 finished pieces almost alike. That's it. Once they're gone, they're gone. One thing I learned at auctions and craft shows, if you see something you like, snap it up. Once it's gone, it's gone.
I also sell on eBay and have an eBay store. The name of my store is Barbara's Flashbacks (sound familiar?). My seller name is barbarasflashbk (see a repeating theme here?). I'd appreciate if you would check out all my stuff, I have literally something for everyone.
Now for a pic of my dog. This sweet little (little?) Black Lab is Mac The Tool Dog, so named because my sweetie, Ed, collects Mac Tools. This was an obvious easy choice for the name of our dog.
He's SUCH a good boy! He doesn't interfere with any of my work up in my workroom....unless (of course!) it's time for a treat from the bin up on the shelf. Yes, he KNOWS where THAT is.
